Pamela H. MacKellar

Pamela H. MacKellar is an author, teacher, speaker and library consultant who was a librarian for over 30 years. She has held positions as a newspaper librarian, library director, assistant librarian, health sciences librarian, cataloger, technology consultant and independent consultant in libraries of all kinds including special, school, public, post-secondary, tribal, prison and state library agency.Pam's most recent book is Writing Successful Technology Grant Proposals: a LITA Guide. She also wrote The Accidental Librarian and co-authored Winning Grants: A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians and Grants for Libraries: a How-To-Do-It Manual for librarians. She has written several articles and a web tutorial for the University of North Texas School of Library and Information Sciences; presented at library conferences; and taught classes and workshops on grants for libraries and non-profits. Pam currently teaches online professional development classes for librarians through Simmons College and the Association of College and Research Libraries, and an undergraduate class for asipiring library technicians at Dona Ana Branch Community College.Pam has conceived, planned, written proposals for, and implemented new programs funded with government and foundation grants, administered grant projects and reviewed grant proposals for federal and state agencies. She co-hosts the Library Grants Blog.
