Bear loves his forest home, but sometimes he gets lonely. It's hard being the biggest animal around. Deborah Hodge is the author of more than 25 books for children. She specializes in writing engaging nonfiction for young readers and loves the challenge of using few words to explain big thoughts. She also enjoys writing picture books.Many of Deborah's books have received awards and been published internationally. Her honors include the Information Book Award of Canada (won twice) , the Green Prize for Sustainable Literature, and being selected to IBBY's list of Outstanding Books for Young People with Disabilities.
