This book takes a decidedly different look at the crusades in that the focus is upon the crusaders and not upon the political or religious causes of the crusades. Concentrating upon the men and women themselves, and their stories you will discover those whom sacrificed family, lands, titles, wealth, and their lives to go forth for what they believed was a holy cause. The purpose of this book is to breathe some life into the people who went on crusade; to tell their story; to show who their ancestors were; and who their descendants are. This book is 8.5x11 and every page is in color with historical Coats of Arms and lineage charts. Over the course of the book, biographies of approximately five hundred crusaders are presented with over 1,000 footnotes Some were great.
