Max Matthews went to school at UCLA and studied psychology along with ecology, behavior and evolution. He quickly realized the depth of his love for animals, particularly for dogs. He began training dogs, and then more extensively service dogs. Max has gone on to train hundreds of service dogs over the last 30 years, and really loves the impact he has made through his teachings.

Max lives with his wife Debra, his two children, Matt and Adam, and their dog Milo. They reside in Palo Alto, California. Max enjoys hiking and long walks with his dog, being in nature, writing, spending time with his family, and loves to help people in need of help.
