Nathan Fairbairn

Nathan Fairbairn is an award-winning writer and colorist of comics whose work has frequently topped the New York Times Best Sellers list.

Since breaking into the comics industry as a colorist on Marvel's Star-Lord in 2007, Nathan has worked extensively on such titles as Guardians of the Galaxy, Wolverine, Weapon X, and All New Wolverine for Marvel, as well as Batman Incorporated, Swamp Thing, and Wonder Woman: Earth One for DC.

In 2011, he began coloring Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim for ONI Press. After finishing work on all 6 volumes of that series, Nathan collaborated again with O'Malley on the standalone graphic novel, Seconds, from Random House.

Most recently, Fairbairn has found a home at Image Comics, working again with the Batman Incorporated creative team of Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham on Nameless, as well as with Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker on Invincible .

Lake of Fire is Nathan's first creator-owned work as a writer, as well as his first collaboration with Matt Smith.

He lives in Vancouver, Canada with his wife, Rachel, and children, Augusten and Lily.
