About the Author

Connie Bombaci

Connie Bombaci, a retired educator, now author, is an optimist and compassionate person whose faith guides her to believe in the extreme goodness and immeasurable importance of all God's creations, both human and pet. Her resolute love for animals began in childhood, rescuing both domestic and wild orphaned or abandoned creatures. Her involvement with animals also developed from her desire to be kind. She has enjoyed many pets, especially ones that have needed help, rescuing domestic and wild orphaned, injured, or abandoned animals. Her desire for others to believe in the value of themselves led her to become an educator where she worked fervently to increase young people's confidence and belief in themselves no matter what challenges or differences they faced. She offered hope where frustration and failure seemed inevitable. While a teacher and assistant principal in a public school district in Connecticut, she enjoyed working with students and staff, finding it especially fulfilling to help anyone who needed special encouragement. Hogan's is a story of success despite the odds. In her book, Connie shares his story and the inspirational message that with the promise of eternal hope, anything is possible. As an additional note, Hogan's Hope was first published in the award-winning secular edition, Hogan's Hope: A Deaf Hero's Inspirational Quest for Love and Acceptance. However, Connie was compelled to revisit her manuscript and include the supporting Bible Scripture that she had originally included. Selected verses were removed on the advice of the publisher and editor. The Christian edition, Hogan's Hope: A Deaf Dog, A Christian's Faith, A Courageous Journey, is available to readers and has received international award recognition as well. Due to overwhelming readers' requests, the children's edition, Hogan's ope: Finding a Forever Hope of Love and Acceptance, was launched in September 2019.
