About the Author

Jan Cannon

Jan Cannon, PhD, author of Maturing With Moxie (ForeEdge, 2018) and Now What Do I Do? (Capital Books, 2005) was widowed at age 36 and raised two children as a single mom. Now, as she's in her 60s, she wonders if her health, social networks, housing choices, work history, and money management will allow her to retire in comfort, if not in style. After investigating all the topics presented in this book, she felt she should share her newfound knowledge with other women to help them avoid her fear: becoming needy and dependent. Following her own suggestions, she's planning on living to a ripe old age.
