Diamond is not your typical teen. Instead of attending house parties, dating boys, and enjoying her teen years, she is forced to take care of her little sister Kay. With the help of her best friend Bobby, she turns to the streets and began to sell drugs as her source of income. Being Bobbys right hand man means that she has to bottle all the feeling she has for him and watch him love another woman the way she wished to be love. Zoe was the man on the block when his father Gustave ran the East. When Gustave is murdered by Bobbys uncle, Zoe is deported back to his parents country, Haiti, to serve a prison sentence for drug and trafficking. Five years later, Zoe returns to the East to claim territory that is rightfully his. In the midst of running his fathers empire, Diamond steals his heart.

Lucinda John

Lucinda John was born January 27, 1993, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At the age of thirteen, Lucinda discovered her love for writing. She would write and win numerous of contest as well as earning high writing scores on standardized tests. Lucinda became an avid reader her freshmen year of high school. Reading books ranging from Sista Soulja to Harper Lee, reading became a escape zone for her. At the age of sixteen Lucinda gave birth to her first born son, Kamari and was determined for a better life for her and her child. After graduating Fort Lauderdale High School June of 2011, being a writer crossed her mind, but because of the lack of support she went another route. Although she was in college to pursue a different career she didn't enjoy it so she decided to take a chance with her first love, writing. In September of 2014 Lucinda submitted her first book 'Fallin' For a Boss' to Myss Shan of Shan Presents. Thrilled that her submission was accepted her career took off full speed. Now, not only is Lucinda John a published author, She is also CEO (founder) of Dope Pen Productions, a sub publishing company under Shan and David Weaver. Lucinda still enjoys reading, but now her passion for writing is now a rewarding career that she enjoys.
