Patrick Johnson

Patrick Johnson was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Yellow Springs, Ohio. From a young age, he knew he wanted to be a scientist as evidenced by his declaration "When I grow up, I want to be a scientist with dirty hair." He attended the University of Dayton for his undergraduate work followed by Washington University in St. Louis for his graduate work. After earning a PhD in physics, he taught at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO followed by Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Today, he is in his dream job as a non-tenure line teaching faculty at Georgetown University, primarily teaching introductory physics. One of his primary life goals is to bring accessible discussions of science to the world.
