History Hall of Lake County Ohio Fairgrounds, a Biographical Anthology contains 116 biographies of Lake County, Ohio pioneers. The names were taken from a small booklet published for the dedication of a memorial log cabin at the fairgrounds in 1914. History Hall of Lake County, Ohio Fairgrounds also includes essays on the development of the Lake County Fair and the construction of the History Hall cabin. More than 180 portraits, photographs, and illustrations were combined with materials discovered in area historical societies, libraries, museums and family research. Over 40 members of the Lake County Genealogical Society and guests contributed to this work. The book includes an index and sources are footnoted. An engaging introduction to the pioneer experience in Northeast Ohio, it is interesting reading and a pointer to further research for the serious historian or genealogist.
