About the Author
In 2011, Philadelphia natives and award-winning travel writers Michael and Larissa Milne quit their jobs, sold their house and gave away their possessions to travel around the world for a year with a Rocky statue. After learning to live much more simply, they are still on the road.
After traveling to six continents they returned to Philadelphia to write about their favorite city. They brought back a newfound global perspective; viewing Philadelphia through the fresh eyes of wanderers returning home and discovering new pleasures in their own backyard. The result is Philadelphia Liberty Trail: Trace the Path of America's Heritage, which takes a revolutionary approach to the city's historic district and the founding of America.
Michael's new book, the Roadster Guide to America's Classic Car Museums & Attractions, will arrive in July, 2016. The Milnes spent two years on an epic American road trip visiting the sights in the guide.
Michael and Larissa write the weekly "Field-Tested Travel Tips" column in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and share their stories in Hemmings Motor News, Huffington Post, AAA Magazine and other publications.
They also write about their adventures on their travel blog at ChangesinLongitude.com, which won the 2013 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Silver Award for Best Travel Blog.
