About this item
Walt Disney was fond of saying, I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing that it was all started by a mouse. And so it is only appropriate that the mouse is incorporated into nearly every aspect of the Disney parks and resorts. In some cases, Mickeys presence is obvious-as in the Partners statue that stands in the center of the hub at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. But in other cases, Mickeys influence is a bit more hidden. . . .So what exactly is a Hidden Mickey? Quite simply, its an artistic representation of Mickey that was intentionally placed amid the architecture and design of the parks and resorts. Oftentimes its the familiar three-circle shape of his ears and head. Other times it might be a profile of his face or a full-body silhouette.

Bill Scollon
Creating entertaining and compelling stories for children is my life's work - and I love it! I have a long history of creating content for kids on screens, stages and on the page. A few years ago, I turned to writing children's books full-time and have written over 75 storybooks, chapter books, novelty books and apps for Disney Publishing, Studio Fun International and other publishers. In the late 1990s, also co-authored a 10-book middle-grade series called Goners, a sci-fi adventure/comedy series.
My early years were spent creating, building and touring marionette and costumed-character stage shows for the family business, Scollon Productions. From there, I moved into media production and worked at Disney Educational Productions for 20 years producing over 200 videos and DVDs, many of them national award winners.
