In 2005, Captain Gene Schnagl and his wife, Kathy set out on their Great Loop adventure. Accompanied only be their white Standard Poodle, Deedee, they were soon to encounter challenges that they had not anticipated before the start of what was to become an almost 7,000 mile circumnavigation of the eastern United States.
