Laurie Elmquist

LAURIE ELMQUIST has had short stories, memoir and poetry published in literary journals and anthologies. My Father's Parrot is the first in a series of memoirs inspired by her experience as a child of the back-to-the-land movement of the 1970s. My Mother's Dress is the second. The collection is called Back to the Land and is being published as a series of short Kindle editions. Laurie Elmquist grew up in rural Ontario on the Bruce Peninsula, but eventually made her way to the warmer wetter coast of Vancouver Island where she lives in Victoria and teaches creative writing at Camosun College.
