Samantha Harris is an Emmy-winning television host and breast cancer survivor. She cohosted Dancing with the Stars for eight seasons, garnering two Emmy nominations, and served as correspondent and weekend anchor on Entertainment Tonight, where she earned two more Emmy nominations and a win. She has hosted dozens of other programs, including Gordon Ramsay's Culinary Genius, E! News, Extra, The Insider, and Stars Earn Stripes, and she has appeared as a guest host on Access Hollywood Live, The View, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? , among others. She cohosted the official live red carpet show for the 80th Academy Awards, and she made her Broadway debut in 2009, starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago. A certified trainer, she has appeared on the covers of numerous health and fitness magazines, including First for Women, Fit Parent, Muscle & Fitness HERS (a record four times) , Pilates Style, Shape, Wellness, and Women's Running. Samantha was born and raised in Minnesota with summers in Chicago and autumns in Massachusetts frolicking around the magical world of her family-run renaissance festival, King Richard's Faire. She graduated with honors and a BSJ from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

In 2014, at the age of 40, Samantha was diagnosed with Stage II invasive breast cancer. Her cancer story and message are unique. Just days after a clear mammogram, Samantha found a lump in her breast. Although two doctors told her it was "nothing", she listened to her gut and persevered. When she went to see a surgical oncologist, although tests still did not detect cancer, they removed the lump. The pathology then showed it was indeed invasive ductal carcinoma. After a subsequent double mastectomy, they found it had also spread to one lymph node.

Now, three surgeries later, Samantha is cancer-free and kicking butt!
