Stephanie Rohr is an author, designer, and fiber artist based in Chicago. "Feminist Cross Stitch" is her first book. She began her cross stitch business stephXstitch in 2010 as a side gig to her work as a musician and theatre artist. StephXstitch grew into a thriving Etsy shop and a recognizable fixture in the maker scene in Chicago as well as the amazing online cross stitch community. Post-2016, Stephanie's designs took on a more feminist bent and her first book was born. Stephanie's cross stitch work has been featured in Cross-Stitcher Magazine, The Chicago Reader, London Sunday Times, and on Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, Time Out Chicago, Paste Magazine, GoodHousekeeping.com, MrXStitch, Mashable, Crafternews.com, Steotch.com, Bust.com, OC Weekly, My Modern Met, and Uproxx.
