About this item

I confess, I’m a crafter at heart. My love of calligraphy, fonts, card design, and books (of course) has brought me to a point where I want to create my own books. With the popularity of digital reading material, bookbinding skills aren’t as vital as they once were. Sure, you can still find books on the library’s shelves that are made of signatures that have been stitched together, but they were made by machine. Bound, by Erica Ekrem, introduces bookbinding as an art instead of just a skill. She also shows that books don’t have to be made with flat covers--like the one made with seashells.
