About the Author

Caleb Zigas

When I was a fairly little kid, with less than friends that I at the time hoped for, I found solace in library book competitions, which turned out to be less competitive than you might think. Books, actually stories in general, have always been my best way of understanding the world, sometimes to my own detriment. An ex-girlfriend once remarked, as our relationship came tumbling down, that I believed too much in the fiction of things. It may still be true. I've written mediocre poetry, prize-winning slam poetry (the distinction between the former and the latter being thin) , about a billion emails and I consider my out of office messages to be my finest work, alongside the LinkedIn profile that my wife encouraged me to "make funnier". And, of course, this book right here. So I hope you like it.
