About the Author

Anthony Casillo

Anthony Casillo is a life long typewriter repairman and vintage typewriter collector. He lives in the New York City area where he also operates his office machine repair service, TTS Business Products. His passion for collecting and researching typewriter history dates back to the late 1970s when he discovered his first antique typewriter. In the decades that followed he amassed a world class collection of historic typewriters while researching their history.

He was early in his efforts (1996) to create a web site, located at www.typewritercollector.com, promoting the folklore of early typewriter history and collecting.

In his book, TYPEWRITERS, Iconic Machines from the Golden Age of Mechanical Writing, Casillo puts forth some of the finest examples of this illustrious writing device that one could ever expect to see.
