About the Author
Lisa Francesca
Born and raised in San Francisco in the 1960s-70s, Lisa Francesca was drawn to study religion and spirituality from a very early age. In 2002 her father - a nondenominational minister - ordained her online (by surprise) through the Universal Life Church. She shadowed her father to see how he customized and conducted weddings, and then she officiated at weddings, memorials, and other ceremonies for more than a dozen years. Her experiences in varied and interesting circumstances led to publication of The Wedding Officiant's Guide. Lisa received her BA in English (with a minor in comparative religion) from University of California at Berkeley. She wrote and edited marketing and web content for companies such as Sunset Publishing, Adobe Systems, and Deloitte. She's appeared in the December 2014 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine as officiant for a beautiful wedding in Point Reyes, California. Find out more about her at http://www.lisafrancesca.com.
