Hello!I'm Sarah Shrimpton of Annaboo's House. I started to crochet just before Christmas 2010; my husband and I had relocated our family to Sussex the year before and I had given up my career in teaching to be a full-time mum. I desperately needed to keep my brain active and so wanted to learn a new skill. I decided on crochet and armed myself with a few books and the Internet and taught myself.The next thing I did was to start blogging to record my progress as I wanted somewhere to preserve my early crocheting attempts. Since then, it's become a place where I share ideas, tutorial and patterns. I've also branched out into other social media and love to show what I'm up to on Instagram, where I seem to have amassed a rather large following of like-minded crochet-lovers. My crochet books are full to bursting with simple, modern crochet patterns, suitable for beginner and pros alike. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed making them.Nowadays, I design patterns for magazines, yarn manufacturers and my own little Etsy shop.
