About the Author
Ruth Snowden
My first book was published in 1999, and I now have more than fifteen titles published worldwide, translated into twelve languages. Many of my books are about Freud, Jung and dreams, because I am very interested in exploring the unconscious and inner transformation. I also enjoy writing fiction for children, because I love the playful, magical freedom of really good children's stories. I wrote my first novel when I was about ten!
I was was born in Cumbria, UK, at the edge of the Lake District, and have lived there most of my life. The long-inhabited, rural landscape has given me an interest in the folklore and culture of my British ancestors, which is reflected in my writing and art. I love nature and walk often by the sea, in woods and by the shores of the lakes. My walks inspire both my art and my writing so I take notebook and sketching things with me.
I have kept a journal and dream diary for many years and have found that this is one of the most important keys to personal growth and spiritual development, as well as a great source of creativity.
