I was born and raised in Northampton, Massachusetts, one of six children born to loving and devoted parents. I am a psychologist with a private practice specializing in grief, relationship issues, anxiety, and trauma. I am also a motivational speaker and the author of 13 books. For fun I enjoy performing in community and regional theaters. My first stage play "The Foot Shooters" was independently produced Off-Off Broadway in 2011. Other interests include songwriting, metaphysics, and the development of intuition. I have been happily married for over 30 years. My wife and I have three children.
