About the Author

Lee Hammond

A professional artist and art instructor for more than thirty years, Lee has authored more than 30 North Light books, and has appeared and contributed in over 75 publications, DVD's and video streams. She owned and operated the Midwest School of Art in Lenexa, Kansas for six years and now has a private studio in Overland Park, Kansas where she teaches during summer and fall. In the winter months she lives and teaches in Naples, Florida where she is the artist in residence for the Rookery Bay Research Reserve. She is also the artist for the Friends of Florida Panther organization. She conducts drawing seminars, gives school lectures and mentors nationwide. Also a certified police composite artist in the Kansas City metro area, and Southwest Florida, she has worked with "America's Most Wanted, and other crime related TV shows and documentaries." A former contributing writer for The Artist's Magazine, she has also been licensed with many of NASCAR''s racing teams to produce art and fine art prints.
