Her column on antiques and collectibles was an exclusive for the Chicago Tribune. She is an appraiser and licensed auctioneer; author of THINGS (You can't take them with you but they're fun while you're here), a compilation of readers' favorite newspaper columns; Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals; Warman's Jewelry 4th edition; Warman's Jewelry Field Guide 2nd edition; and a book covering unsigned Christmas tree pins, her gateway into jewelry after seeing 18 works of art in Vogue magazine. (Contact her at christmastreepins.com if you want to join a collector's society of holiday tree lovers.) Says Flood, "I just finished a Jewelry Face Book for Amazon, the title called Vintage Visages (see three of the brooches following author photo). If you collect autographed books, lmk and I'll sign mine for you. (The figural-pins book even comes with a free gift pin.) In the meantime on this page, enjoy the videos. They're short and sweet. Two are mine, created for the holiday season and its related jewelry. The third is Stuart Freeman's gripping split-second vid of the latest jewelry field guide, which is slightly chilling."
