About this item

"This frontier ghost story is a romantic slip in gold-rush time, inspired by an actual EVP recording made in the Slide Cemetery, Dyea, Alaska, in which a haunting male voice can be heard calling, "Abigail . . . Abigail." Historic Dyea is a true ghost town. There are portals to all ghost towns. They rarely open but when they do, you'd best slip through. In 2017, Abby Gray hears a voice from inside the Slide Cemetery calling her name. Eli Cole nervously checks his pocket watch. Time is almost up. In 1898, 119 years earlier, Abigail Grace is on the same gold-rush path up the Golden Stairs when Elias Colt races against the clock to find her. The portal in gold-rush time is about to seal shut for all of time"--

About the Author

Joanne Sundell

Hi!

I'm so happy you stopped for a moment at my Author Page on Amazon!

I'm a retired nurse who just happened to start writing historical romance some years ago, and now have attempted Young Adult Frontier Fiction. This is a departure for me but ... my love for my dogs and my love of history jumped out in front of me and wouldn't let my computer keys press anything else!

I've raised and loved Siberian huskies over 40 years. My last husky, Xander, died recently at fourteen. His death prompted me to begin researching then writing the Watch Eyes Trilogy. Before attempting this YA frontier series, I wrote historical romance set primarily in the Old West. My six published novels to date are with Five Star, Gale/Cengage. The Watch Eyes Trilogy is set in the Arctic West.

I live between Colorado and California, my husband and I ever chasing down our children and grandchildren scattered therein. Raised in the Rockies, our brood is never far from the West they love. Though retired from nursing, the time I have to write is precious little. I've taken the coveted 4:00 a.m. slot. Sorry folks.

I'm currently a member of Western Writers of America and Women Writing the West, and a past member of Romance Writers of America.

My best to you, readers all,

Joanne Sundell
