New Orleans detectives Jack Hardy and Early Moore need a bust. Assigned to a surveillance unit, they see an opportunity and recruit drug dealer Lamont Brown. Unfortunately, Lamont sees opportunity in them, too.Lamont feeds them information, letting them claim high-profile drug busts while getting rid of his competition. Then he demands they bury a dead body and find work for his no-good cousin Jello. In their efforts to satisfy Lamont, Hardy and Early stumble on a scheme to bilk post-Katrina reconstruction efforts while dodging dirty cops, street thugs, crooked contractors, and white supremacist hit men. When Lamont s main rival finds out he s been ratting, Lamont calls in Hardy and Early to help him . . . or get them out of the way.
