About this item

This newly revised and updated guidebook introduces you to the wonders of Peru, from the high Andes peaks to the slow-moving Amazon waters. The guide begins with a detailed account of the country--what not to be missed, Peru today, food and drink, land and environment, history, and the arts--followed by nine regional chapters, including Lima, the Southern Lowlands and Southern Highlands, Cuzco and Machu Picchu, the North Coast via the Central Highlands, Huaraz & the High Andes, and ending with the Northern Highlands and the Amazon. A detailed Travelwise section tells you how to get there and how to get around, with author-picked hotels and restaurants.
