Gaby Dalkin (@whatsgabycookin) is a trained chef, recipe developer, entrepreneur and food/lifestyle writer primarily based in Los Angeles. Her blog, WhatsGabyCooking.com, features original recipes and images along with highlights from Gaby's life and travels. In April 2018, Gaby releases her second cookbook, What's Gaby Cooking: Everyday California Food, showcasing vibrant, home cook-friendly recipes that illustrate California isn't just a place, it's a state of mind and a lifestyle.

Gaby pursued her love of cooking by enrolling in culinary school after graduating college. While in culinary school, Gaby launched her now very popular blog "What's Gaby Cooking" (WGC) to document her culinary adventures and share her recipes. Simultaneously she began working as private chef, catching the eye of high-profile clients and celebrities. Gaby was able to showcase her creativity in crafting meals and developing entertaining ideas, while creating memorable experiences for her clients.

In Spring 2013, Gaby debuted her first cookbook, Absolutely Avocados, an ode to her passion for avocados. With over 80 recipes, Absolutely Avocados displays Gaby's simple and ingredient-driven cooking style. Shortly after the cookbook's successful release, Gaby decided to focus full-time on WGC, devoting herself to sharing inspired recipes and ideas with her growing audience. In the Spring of 2017, Gaby partnered with Williams Sonoma to launch a line of multi-use salsas and her popular guacamole starter. Her second product launch with Williams Sonoma will debut in Spring of 2018.

In her latest cookbook, Gaby demonstrates that creating tasty, vibrant food doesn't require staying in the kitchen all day, especially when you have a well-stocked pantry, fresh produce and approachable recipes. Gaby currently splits her time between her home-base of Los Angeles and Seattle, where her husband Thomas recently started a company. In her free time, Gaby enjoys being active, traveling the world, and exploring cultures through their food.
