David Coggins is the author of "The Optimist: A Case for the Fly Fishing Life" (Scribner) . His previous books were "Men and Manners" and the NY Times best-seller "Men and Style" (Abrams) . He writes The Contender, a newsletter about style, travel and design, among other topics. He writes a column on fly fishing for the Robb Report, and about tailoring, drinking and travel for numerous publications, including The Financial Times, Bloomberg Pursuits and Condé Nast Traveler. He lives in New York City.
