About this item

This book is a delight. Katie Boyette's designs are playful, inventive, and a whole lot of fun for both children and adults. The 20 projects are organized from beginning to end with the easiest upfront and moving to those that are more of a challenge in the later pages. Icons are shown that clearly indicate the level of each project. Katie has included a glossary on each project page so there's no annoying back-and-forth looking for abbreviation meanings. KnitWit contains more than 150 full-color photographs, showing along-the-way photos, important steps such as attaching arms and legs, and final photos of the completed piece.

About the Author

Katie Boyette

Katie Boyette graduated with a BFA in studio art (with a concentration in sculpture) from the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University. She lives in the mountains of North Carolina, where she is a baker by day and a creator of knitting patterns by night. Katie began knitting when she was invited to join a local Stitch n' Bitch group. Since then she has rarely put down her needles, except for occasional meals, naps, or to play the ukulele. Currently, she is knitting an army of robots, and after she takes over the world, only her fellow knitters will be spared. Visit her blog http://caffaknitted.typepad.com.
