Anne Mateer has loved reading and writing stories since childhood. In 2000, she began studying the craft of fiction and working toward publication. Ten years later, she received her first book contract. Anne is now the author of 4 historical novels, 1 historical novella, and a few contemporary short stories. Anne a three time Genesis contest finalist and a Carol Award finalist for At Every Turn.

Anne and her husband, Jeff, have been married 30 years and love to travel to visit their grown children and to tour historical sites. They are currently living an empty nest adventure in Austin, TX.
