Cheryl Jarvis is a journalist, essayist and author whose books have been published in 19 countries and translated in 16 languages. The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment That Transformed Their Lives (with the Women of Jewelia) was a New York Times bestseller. The Marriage Sabbatical: The Journey That Brings You Home was featured in major media worldwide, including the BBC, NPR, the Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, the Oprah Winfrey Show, the London Times, the LA Times, the NY Times, and the New Yorker. She has written for many national and regional publications, including The Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, Publishers Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, More, Woman's Day, Reader's Digest and Writer's Digest. A former television producer and magazine and newspaper editor, she has taught writing at the University of Southern California and at Washington University and Webster University in St. Louis.
