Shawn Kittelsen is best known as Narrative Lead and Co-Writer of the blockbuster fighting games MORTAL KOMBAT 11 and INJUSTICE 2 from NetherRealm Studios. He has also written bestselling MORTAL KOMBAT X comics published by DC Comics, and SAVAGE GAME, the first original graphic novel published by Amazon/ComiXology.Kittelsen got his start as an executive for DC Entertainment, where he contributed to the creative development of blockbuster games like BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, DC UNIVERSE ONLINE, and INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US. After leaving DC, he worked as an award-winning games marketing creative director for the Midnight Oil Agency, and as General Manager of the fiercely independent Feral Audio podcast network, now known as Starburns Audio. Kittelsen holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He lives in Los Angeles.
