About the Author

I am a former Missouri farm boy who made good. I've traveled extensively on 4 continents, have friends in many languages, love adventure and excitement. I like writing books so I can share the knowledge and experience I've gained with the many false starts and wrong turns I've made. My hobbies are travel, learning Spanish, gourmet cooking, meeting new friends and writing great stories. I've written about organic agriculture, sustainable house building, international dating and now I'm writing a canoe and kayak guide to the James River in Virginia. After that I'll write a retirement guide for Colombia, South America where I now live.
