Hannah Barnaby

Hannah Barnaby's debut novel, WONDER SHOW, was a William C. Morris Award Finalist in 2013; her second novel, SOME OF THE PARTS, received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly and sold out its first printing in two weeks. Her picture books include BAD GUY, illustrated by Mike Yamada; GARCIA & COLETTE GO EXPLORING, illustrated by Andrew Joyner; THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT SAM, illustrated by Anne Wilsdorf; and HOME IS..., illustrated by Frann Preston Gannon (2021) . She is also the author of the MONSTER & BOY chapter book series, illustrated by Anoosha Syed.Hannah has worked as a children's book editor, a bookseller at independent children's bookstores, and a teacher of writing for children and young adults. She holds an MA in Children's Literature from Simmons College and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College, and she was the first Children's Writer-in-Residence at the Boston Public Library. She lives in Charlottesville, VA.
