Kalan Chapman Lloyd is an attorney and author from Oklahoma. She enjoys big hair, Supreme Court Decisions on Intellectual Property, hats, the sound of construction and the feel of brand new sweatshirts. Kalan and her husband, Grant, enjoy parenting their strong-willed, left-handed children. She is a Junior League dropout.

Her first book, Home Is Where Your Boots Are, the first in the series The MisAdventures of Miss Lilly, was a finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards. It re-released to critical acclaim in May 2015. Her second in the series, These Boots Are Made For Butt-Kickin', debuted with rave reviews in June 2015. She has released a prologue novella, Blame It All On My Boots (Cash and Lilly, Vol. 1) to accompany the series; and the third volume, So Many Boots, So Little Time is set for a Fall 2016 release. Kalan's protagonist, Lilly Atkins has been haled "the Stephanie Plum of the South."

Her memoir, Mo(u) rning Joy, has been compared to Jen Hatmaker and Patsy Clairmont.
