About this item

In this delightful new mystery our heroine Kat Stanford stumbles upon a hidden room in an abandoned wing at Honeychurch Hall. However, Kat's initial excitement soon ends in horror. There, lying on the cold, stone floor, Kat comes across the body of a young woman dressed in an Egyptian toga and wearing a tawdry fairground trinket around her broken neck. Suspicion falls on some of those who live at the Hall--both upstairs and down--and even those who are just been passing through. Matters come to a head as a killer lurks amid the aristocracy, and Downton Abbey fans will want more Killer Balls at Honeychurch Hall.

Evie Mead and Margot Chandler, who become chatelaines of a crumbling Art Deco hotel. The sisters have been geographically separated for over a decade and, following the death of Evie's husband and Hollywood film producer Margot's divorce, the story explores the unique bond between siblings who are complete polar opposites! The Honeychurch Hall Mysteries star former celebrity antique dealer Kat Stanford, and her romance writer mother, Iris. Set on a crumbling English country house estate, the books aren't just about solving the mysteries. Hannah wanted to highlight the fading glory of these grand old houses and the struggles to keep them afloat. The series also explores the intricacies of mother-daughter relationships. The Vicky Hill Mysteries star a young reporter who escaped to a sleepy English market town when her parents went on the run for armed robbery. Stuck writing the obituary column, Vicky Hill craves adventure and is determined to snag a front-page scoop - the juicier the better. Each book introduces a traditional, albeit eccentric, British custom. Snail racing? Worm charming? Who knew! In another life, Hannah WAS an obituary reporter for a small weekly newspaper ...
