About the Author
Amy has been writing children's poetry and short stories for several years. She enjoys the challenge of finding perfect rhymes for her poems. "Creating poetry is like doing a jigsaw puzzle. There are so many words that can be part of a poem - but they have to fit together in a certain way to work!"
Amy lives in Massachusetts with her husband and business partner, photographer Ron Schmidt, their two children, and a big white dog named Sammy. The Schmidts enjoy sharing their love of dogs, art and poetry with fans of all ages through library, book store and school visits.
