Jakob Wegelius is a Swedish writer and illustrator. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages and awarded several literary prizes such as the August Prize, the Nordic Council Children and Young People's Literature Prize, the Prix Sorcières, the Deutsche Jugendliteraturpreis and the ALA Mildred Batchelder Award. Jakob Wegelius lives with his wife and two sons in the small village of Mortfors in southern Sweden. In his spare time he enjoys playing the accordion and messing about in boats.
