About this item

With everything being connected these days it only makes sense that even our homes and small offices will benefit from having our computers networked together so they can communicate with each other. Microsoft Windows is the most popular operating system in the world and is seen in most businesses as well as most homes. If you have multiple computers, whether they be desktops or laptops and want to be able to share files, folders and printers between them then its not a super difficult thing to do assuming you have some decent Windows skills. The goal of this book is to get you up and running in regards to setting up your home or small office Windows based network. This book covers setting up peer to peer networking with workgroups rather than client server networks using Windows domains which is a much more expensive and costly way to go and not really needed except for situations with many computers and users.
