About the Author
Emma Apple, is a Chicago based kiwi author-illustrator who writes and illustrates children's books for families and teachers who want unique and multicultural bookshelves. Through her books, she introduces children to complex concepts and new ideas that help them understand the people and world around them.
Her debut as an independent author-illustrator, How Big Is Allah? (2014) quickly reached #1 in the Amazon Islamic Children's category, it sold over 1,000 copies within the first year. For Ramadan 2016, she introduced her characters and a new series, Owl & Cat, in Owl & Cat: Ramadan Is ... (May, 2016) .
As of 2017, Emma has written, illustrated, and published 10 books under her indie publishing imprint Books by Emma Apple. Including Islamic, general audience, coloring & activity, and Arabic translations of her English books.
