About this item

Our intervention in Vietnam was a tragic mistake. Most Americans would agree but opinions vary about what went wrong. Many feel that we could have "won" if weak-kneed politicians had not made the military fight with but one arm or that TV coverage caused the public lose its will to support the war. They are wrong and it is time to examine the devious, 65-year process of our incremental involvement in Southeast Asia. Five years of research by Mr. Nelson uncovered those illegal unconstitutional pacts made by our presidents that provided the basis for this slow-motion invasion. Our presence was disguised as a rescue operation but hardly anything we were told about the beginning was true. All major military and political policy decisions were based on myths, wishful thinking and misinformation.
