My name is James Kaiser, and I believe travel should be fun, affordable and enlightening. To help travelers enjoy some of the world's most beautiful places, I've written, photographed and illustrated full-color guidebooks to Costa Rica, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Joshua Tree and Acadia National Park. My books are filled with gorgeous photos and packed with fascinating behind-the-scenes info. About me: After finishing college, I went back to Maine (where I was born and raised) and wrote and self-published "Acadia: The Complete Guide." It was filled with insider tips, detailed maps and color photos, and it quickly became the bestselling guidebook to Acadia National Park. Following the success of "Acadia: The Complete Guide," I wrote guidebooks to Joshua Tree, Yosemite and Grand Canyon. Shortly after "Grand Canyon: The Complete Guide" was published, it won the Benjamin Franklin Award for Best Full-Color Travel Guide and the Independent Publisher Award for Best Travel Guide. In 2013 I published my first international guidebook, "Costa Rica: The Complete Guide."
