She is the author of 87 Ways to Throw a Killer Party (Zest Books, 2011) and the co-author of eight nonfiction books for 'tweens in the "Sunscreen" series published by Harry N. Abrams. Originally from Marlborough, Connecticut, Melissa graduated magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, with a degree in psychology.
