Deborah Kelly was born in New Zealand but has lived in Japan and Scotland. She now resides in Australia and writes books for children of all ages.

Her recent books include The Bouncing Ball (Random House 2013) , Jam for Nana (Random House 2014) , Dinosaur Disco (Random House 2015) , Sam's Great Invention (Macmillan Education 2014) and Don't Sweat It (Macmillan Education 2014) . The first book in her new Junior Fiction series Ruby Wishfingers: Skydancer's Escape was published by Wombat Books in 2016.

Upcoming books include Me and You (Penguin Random House 2017) and a picture book with EK books in 2017 as well as four more Ruby Wishfingers books (Wombat Books) .

Deborah is an engaging public speaker who frequently visits schools, libraries and festival events to share her books and talk about her writing.
