About the Author
Jan Gleiter is the author of the award-winning Lie Down with Dogs, a number of biographies for the youth market, rhymed instructional books for beginning readers, Words to Go--a vocabulary acquisition program for grades 6-8, and This Is a Test: A Handbook for Writing Good Tests. She lives in Chicago, Illinois, where she writes English language arts and assessment materials for use in education.
