A lot of local history is written with deep respect and piety for the past. Not so here. About the Author
His most recent book (his sixth) is PROHIBITION GANGSTERS: THE RISE AND FALL OF A BAD GENERATION, published by the Rutgers University Press. The New York Times says of the book, "Marc Mappen, who teaches at Rutgers, proves an adept story teller as he takes readers beyond Boardwalk Empire."
