About the Author

Frank M. Young

Frank Young was born in Tallahassee, Florida in 1963. From the age of 17, he has been a professional writer. After over a decade of journalism, Young became an editor, and returned to writing in the late 1990s. He has written several non-fiction children's books, With collaborator David Lasky, Young has co-created two graphic novels: OREGON TRAIL: THE ROAD TO DESTINY and THE CARTER FAMILY: DON'T FORGET THIS SONG. The latter won the prestigious Eisner Award in 2014. He and Lasky are starting their third graphic novel project. Young is also a designer, cartoonist, musician and improv comedian. He is considered a leading scholar of comics history, and is hailed as an expert on the works of artist/writer John Stanley (of LITTLE LULU fame) . Young has also written on popular music, most recently for Ace Records' 2010 CD release YOU BABY: WORDS AND MUSIC BY P. F. SLOAN AND STEVE BARRI.
