Dr. Nancy J Merrick is a former student of Jane Goodall who has studied chimpanzees in Tanzania and at Stanford University. An advocate for chimps, she founded ChimpSaver.org, an interactive website that connects users to ways to help chimps. Her writing shares fascinating stories of man's closest relatives and of intriguing figures like the remarkable Dr. Goodall. With chimps now extinct in 4 countries of Africa and nearly so in 10 others, she tells us that saving forests is more important than ever. Dr. Merrick lives in Ventura, California and grew up in Pasadena.
